Finance Manager | Leeds | Up to £50,000 DOE
Fully office based
This is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager role for a £10m turnover logistics business going through steady growth. You’ll take ownership of the full finance function, support the leadership team with day-to-day commercial insight, and manage one direct report.
It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, likes autonomy, and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up in a fast-moving SME environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the day-to-day finance function
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Cashflow forecasting and cash management
- Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
- VAT returns and statutory reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors
- Improving processes and controls where needed
- Managing and developing one member of staff
- Working closely with the senior leadership team on operational and commercial matters
What they’re looking for
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role within an SME
- Comfortable managing the full finance function end-to-end
- Strong management accounts and cashflow experience
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Confident working in a fast-paced operational business
- Logistics, transport or distribution experience would help, but isn’t essential
- Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience backgrounds will all be considered
